It’s one of the most beautiful times of the year – complete with sun, sand and warm weather! And if you’re looking to capture some of that summer goodness, McDonald Photography’s first ever Summer Beach “Fun-in-the-Sun” Mini-Sessions are a perfect place to start!

Taking place on the afternoons and evenings of Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, your little ones can be captured at the private Cambridge Acres Subdivision Beach, playing in the sand, swimming and enjoying what this summer season has to offer!

Mini-sessions are a great way to try out custom photography. Sessions will begin at 5 p.m. each day (to take advantage of the best light) and last for approximately 20-25 minutes each, producing between 5 and 10 retouched images that will be published in an online gallery.

I have an assortment of beach toys to choose from or you can bring your own for the photographs!

For $54.95, the “Fun-in-the-Sun” Mini-Session includes the session fee, one 8×10 print, two 5×7’s, and 16 wallets. Choose one pose from any of your gallery images! Additional prints may be ordered at regular prices.

I can’t even believe how the time flies!

Last month I got to spend some more time in downtown Fenton with one of my favorite boys – little Tyler! He recently celebrated his third birthday and his mom Julie wanted some photographs to mark the occasion. He’s such a great model! I think he should make a career of it

Look at him striking a pose! What a natural!

Mom was more than willing to pick up some helium balloons so we could capture this special photograph. It quickly became my fav of the day! The light was just so yummy!

Remember my BFF Meagan?

Well, she had her little one several weeks ago, and I have been so swamped with the arrival of our own little girl, it’s taken me FOREVER to get her blog post up. Sorry Meg! But without further ado, here he is – Levi Alan!

Our little Cora Leigh made her appearance June 6at 7:04 a.m.! We are overjoyed! She is every bit as precious and wonderful as we thought and more!

She was 5 pounds, 15 ounces. 18 1/2 inches long.

I just can’t stop looking at her. It’s totally amazing! Here are a few photos from her first mommy photo shoot yesterday. Believe me, more are to follow. I have so many plans for pictures, so little time!

Remember this beautiful mom-to-be and dad?

Well, their little Joseph came a few days early and I was delighted when they came by for his newborn pictures! Tammi signed up for McDonald Photography’s Baby to Belly plan and I have to say I had hard time deciding which photographs to post! They were all just so darn cute!

Well three months have just flown by, and it was with much joy that I welcomed Emilee and her mom back for her next portrait session. Emilee is a part of my “Growing Up Fast” plan, where clients have their baby’s first year covered at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months old for only  $150! They also enjoy 15 % off all print products and receive a FREE 10×20 story board at the year’s end. Isn’t that cool?!

OK, enough marketing! But I get pretty excited about it and I was just as excited to have this little one back in studio!  Look how cute she is! I just love her eyes!

Lily and her mom Kristen came over last week for a little fun in studio, as well as out, for her one-year portraits.

Let me tell you, they were both awesome! I couldn’t believe how happy Lily was! It was literally BING BANG BOOM and we were done!

Her mom really wanted one chocolate brown and I was happy to accommodate her request. Just look at this beautiful happy girl!

Mom also liked the blue to match Lily’s eyes. I think it turned out pretty swell

But of all the photos we took, the ones we took outdoors were my favorite! Lily was just so observant, taking it all in. Then when we gave her the giant Whirlypop, I was sure she was in Heaven! What a great time we had!

Lilly as well as her mommy and daddy were back again! And I have to say, I was excited as ever to take her one-year photographs!

Her mom and I are good friends and I’ve been photographing this little angel since she was bun in the oven! Look how she’s grown!

Here is a fun collage I did of the cake photos. I love it when moms and dads let me take photos of their little ones tearing a cake apart. How fun is that?!

Then, since we’re both expecting next month, we snuck this one in for fun With only washable, non-toxic marker of course! *wink* Can you tell who’s who?

I had a great time last weekend with a friend from high school and her gang! She wanted some photographs of her best friends and sister before she moved away out of state, and I was honored that she called on me to capture some special moments. I am SO SO SO excited the Michigan weather is finally getting to a point where we can ACTUALLY go outside for photos! It’s about time!

Here is one of the whole gang, right smack dab in the middle of downtown Holly – we did plenty of car dodging! But I promise, no one was hurt in the making of this photo! LOL
